Some statistics *:

• In 2006, there were 72,880 garden, landscaping and leisure and sports ground construction companies in Europe.
  
  
• 13,500 are in France, 13,350 in Germany and 13,000 in Great Britain. In Germany, Austria and Finland, 70% of their work concerns new spaces.
  
  
• On the other hand, in France, the United Kingdom and Luxembourg the split between new works and maintenance is 50/50.
  
  
• Between 2001 and 2006, the number of landscaping companies in France increased by 11%, total sales rose by 28% to 4.3 billion Euros and they invested 270 million Euros.
