The Toulouse Innovative and Sustainable Festival x Capitole Végétal:
A plant scenography in the heart of Toulouse

On October 11 and 12, 2025, the Place du Capitole in Toulouse will host a new edition of the Toulouse Innovante et Durable Festival, an innovative and sustainable event that celebrates local landscape creation. This large ephemeral garden, designed in the heart of the city, will bring together professionals, apprentices, and enthusiasts around an immersive and artistic scenography.

The festival's scenography is entrusted to Marie Couronne and Antoine de Lavalette, winner of the 2023 Carré des Jardiniers competition. Together, they also oversee the set-up, orchestrating teams of landscapers, students, and instructors from five training centers. Their creative approach aims to green the space with local, climate-adapted plants, while respecting seasonality and encouraging interaction with the public.
Highlights of the festival will include the replanting of the Unep and Valhor garden, as well as Marie and Antoine's personal creation, an original garden designed especially for the event. This project also includes Brice, a member of Antoine's team during the 2023 Carré des Jardiniers competition, who is participating in the design of this new green space.

The Toulouse Innovative and Sustainable Festival promises an immersive and inspiring experience, where nature, art and educational commitment come together to bring the heart of Toulouse to life.
