A day entirely dedicated to showcasing French and international communities and offering elected officials, local government employees, and urban professionals a program tailored to their needs.
The goal: to highlight innovative and sustainable solutions for urban greening and green space development. A DAY FOR ACTION!
In 2025, Green City Day brought together representatives from major French and European cities to share their experiences: Milan, Turin, Helsinki, Zaragoza, Seville, Vilnius, Lyon, Saint Étienne, Paris, and Le Havre.
Conferences, concrete feedback, technical visits, guided tours of the exhibition, opportunities for discussion and sharing, and convivial moments... A rich and coherent program, entirely designed to enable local authorities to make concrete progress in their urban renaturation projects.
Thematic conferences (A cooler city, A greener city, A healthier city), private visits, regional feedback including the presentation of the Saint Étienne greening project, a networking cocktail party, and a Festival of Lights evening with foreign delegations... this was the program for Green City Day 2025.

Inspiration, innovation and opportunities: come to this village from 2 to 4 December to anticipate trends and boost your projects!
Discover the companies of the Start-up Village on the Paysalia 2025 exhibitors list.
The companies present in this village will be highlighted during a Start-up press café at Paysalia.
Designing and creating a temporary 200 m² indoor garden in just four days, based on a set theme: this is the challenge taken up by the four finalists of the Carré des Jardiniers 2025. An exceptional competition that rewards creativity, boldness, technical skill, and a sense of sharing—all essential values in the landscaping profession.
For this edition, the candidates explored the theme “The Garden of Possibilities: make us dream, surprise us!”
The four 2025 finalists and their gardens
• Ludovic Orain – L’Écrin Méditerranéen (The Mediterranean Setting)
• Kévin Barthalay – Le Jardin Infini (The Infinite Garden)
• Pierre Girault – L’Archipel (The Archipelago) / a garden based on the unpredictable and the surprising
• Éloise Lorge – Graine d’espoir, fleur d’avenir (Seed of Hope, Flower of the Future)
Master Gardener 2025
• The jury awarded the prestigious title of Master Gardener 2025 to Ludovic Orain for his garden L’Écrin Méditerranéen, a project combining aesthetics, sustainability, and resilience.
Students' Favorite 2025
• The Students' Favorite award went to the garden “Seeds of Hope, Flowers of the Future” by Éloise Lorge, recognized for its inspiring message and participatory approach.
